Clinical outcomes associated with blenderized tube feedings in adults: A systematic review

A review looking at clinical outcomes in adults who use blenderized tube feeding (BTF) formulas as their primary nutrition source. Nine studies were included. The authors concluded that BTF does not pose a higher risk for deterioration in anthropometric measurements and is associated with improvements in diarrhea making them a good choice for acute care and rehabilitation settings.
