Don’s Story

My husband was released from the hospital with a feeding tube and sent home with food for that tube recommended by the hospital and physician. As his condition worsened daily and our hopes for a full recovery diminished I desperately consulted a nurse friend who told me the food in his feeding tube had very little nutritional value, as high corn fructose syrup was the primary ingredient. I was panicky as his health continued to deteriorate and I knew that his only hope was somehow if I could find a better source of nutrition for him. He went from being a totally healthy, vibrant, energetic and productive 70 year old sports car driver to an almost dying senior citizen with a walker.
